    New Zealand born cellist Marc comes from one of Australia's most famous string playing families as a student at the Sydney Conservatorium High School he regularly won awards as prizes as both a pianist and cellist.

    After working as Associate Principal with the Australian Opera Orchestra he pursued advanced studies in London with Jacqueline Du Pre and William Pleeth. In addition he worked with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Returning to live in Sydney Marc worked with the SSO, Australian Chamber Orchestra and as co principal with the Australian Opera. 

    Marc has taught cello since the age of 14 and has nurtured the progress and careers of many cello students. His thorough teaching style and boundless enthusiasm for his students has seen regular Distinction and Honours exam results, culminating in the award of AMEB Teacher of the Year.
